ロシアの毛糸 Russian Yarns

父がロシアの毛糸屋さんで毛糸を買ってきてくれました。

私なら選ばない柿色、赤、ピンクの毛糸が逆に新鮮です。

船場近くにある毛糸屋さんには漁師さんが案内してくれたそうです。

いいなぁ、私もいつか行きたいです。

ここの毛糸屋さんで毛糸を買って船の中で編み物をするのでしょうか。

ロシアの毛糸は大きいので、一玉でマフラーやミトンが編めてしまいそう。

赤とピンクの毛糸はモヘヤ素材なのでレーシーなストールを、

白とベージュと柿色の毛糸ではミトンを編んでみようと思っています。

My dad bought me yarns from Russia.

I won't usually choose yellowish brown,red and pink yarns,

so I feel freshness about that.

The yarns shop near at quay,so fisherman take my dad to the shop.

I wish I could go to the shop someday in the near future.

I imagine that people living in Russia buy some yarns at this shop

and enjoy knitting on a ship.

Russian yarns are very big so I think we could knit a scarf or mittens

only use one ball of yarns.

I am thinking to knit a lacy stole using red and pink mohair yarns,

and to knit mittens with using white,beige and yellowish brown.

Timberwolf牧場の毛糸 Timberwolf Farm Yarns

お店deux billetsで扱っているTimberwolf牧場の毛糸は、

オレゴン州カスケード山麓で作られています。

牧場ではIngeborgさんWolfさんご夫婦が

12頭のひつじと2頭のアルパカと一緒に暮らしています。

お二人は2006年にドイツにあるブレーメンから

この農場へ移ってきました。

毛糸は全て手作業でひつじとアルパカの毛を刈り、

紡績工場で毛糸にして地元のファーマーズマーケットなどで

販売しています。

奥さんのIngeborgさんはドイツで医師、

ご主人のWolfさんは獣医をしていた事もあり

動物たちの健康や環境に気を配り

自然のままの状態で毛糸を作り上げる事にこだわっています。

deux billetsでご紹介している毛糸は

色付けされていない自然のままの色ですが

色付けされた毛糸も庭で育てた

無農薬の野菜やハーブを使って染められています。

毛糸にはそれぞれ、使われたひつじとアルパカの

写真と名前が付いたラベルが巻かれているので

編んでいる時も編み終わった後も

動物たちの事を想いながら愛着を感じて頂けます。

Timberwolf Farm Yarns which we sold at our shop"deux billets"

are made in the foot hills of Oregon's Cascade Mountains.

In the farm,Ingeborg Krebs and Wolf Krebs lives with

12 sheeps and 2 alpacas.

They move to this farm from Bremen,Germany in 2006.

They shear wool from their sheeps and alpacas

by their hands and it turned into yarns

from a spinning mill and they sold it at local farmers market.

Ingeborg was a doctor and Wolf was a vet at Germany,

so they pay careful attention to their animals health

and also their environment and make yarns as natural condition.

We sold undyed yarns at our shop,

but they also make yarns dyed by an organic plants and herbs.

Each of yarns wrapped by the label with

their sheeps and alpacas name and photo,

so we could think of them when we knitting

using their yarns and feel happy.

小さなミトン Tiny Mittens ①

ドールハウス小物を編む為に作られた細い編み棒と

アップルトンの細い毛糸を使って小さなミトンを編もうと思っています。

ドールハウス小物用の編み棒は、号数によって

上に付いているまんまるの色が様々でとても可愛いです。

少し長めの待ち針みたいですね。

アップルトンの毛糸は綺麗な色がたくさんあって大好きです。

今までは編み物が出来なかったのでリリアン用に使っていましたが

少しだけ編み物の世界へ入る事が出来たので

調子に乗って編みたいと思うものをどんどん編んでいけたらと思っています。

（もちろん、姉に一つ一つ教えてもらいながら・・・）

小さなミトンを編む事ができましたら、こちらでもご紹介しますね。

そして、編み棒は近々お店deux billetsでもご紹介する予定です。

I am deciding to knit a tiny mittens with using thin knitting needles

made for knitting dollhouse miniatures and Appleton's yarns.

The thin knitting needles has a lovely knobs on the ends and

the color is vary from size of knitting needles.

It looks like a marking pin,isn't it?

I love Appleton's yarns very much.

There are many beautiful colors and difficult to choose.

I always use it for spool knitting but this year

I could understand a little bit about knitting

so I decide to knit whatever I want to knit:-)

(I am sure my sister would be busy to teach me knitting...)

I am going to show you tiny mittens here if I could knit.

And also we are thinking to sold the knitting needles

at our shop"deux billets"in near future.

毛糸バスケット Yarns Basket

イギリスのどこかの町で使われていた古いバスケットが

brownie and tea roomより届きました。

今までは、毛糸と編み棒を紙袋の中に入れていたので

ようやくお気に入りのバスケットが見つかり嬉しいです。

古いものを手にすると、どんな人がどんな場所でどんな目的で

使っていたのだろう・・・？と妄想の世界へ入ってしまいます。

綺麗な飴色のバスケット、ずっと大切に使いたいと思います。

編み棒は、おまめ手芸店のまめさんが編んで下さった

クリスマスオーナメント入れの編み靴下の中に入れています。

I received old basket made in England from the shop called

"brownie and tea room".

I put my yarns and knitting needles into paperbag so far,

so I am very glad that I could find a lovely basket.

I always think that who and where and how

this one used for...when I own old things.

I will take care of this beautiful amber color basket forever.

I put knitting needles into a handknitted socks which

"Omame Syugeiten"knitted it for put some christmas ornaments.

目薬ポーチ Eye Drops Pouch ①

11月初めに、ほぼ日で三國万里子さんの

「目薬ポーチで編みもの入門」が始まります。

初心者向けとの事で、分かりやすく丁寧に

教えてくれるそうなのでとても楽しみです。

糸井さんも編まれていますが、

男性が大きな手で編み物をされる姿は

ぎこちなくて、哀愁があっていいですね。

編み図が掲載されていたので、早速編んでみました。

見た目は雑ですが、どんぐりマフラーで学んだ

編み図が盛り込まれていたので

初めて自分一人で編む事が出来ました。

初心者向けといっても、全くの初めてだったら

きっと編めなかったと思います。

なんせ私は基本の「作り目」から苦戦して

「メリヤス編み」もちんぷんかんぷんだし

「減らし目」なんて、なんの事やら？？

となかなか理解できなかったのです。

要領が良い方はするする編めると思いますが、

私みたいに不器用な方は一番最初に編む時は、

近くにいる編み物の先生（おばあちゃん、お母さんなど）

に丁寧に教えてもらった方がより理解できて

最後まで諦めずに編み終えることができると思います。

この目薬ポーチは手の平に乗るくらい小さいので、

目薬以外にもアクセサリー、飴玉、鍵や大切な人の写真を入れても。

私は友人の勧めで我が家のテリア犬、ヴィンスの写真を入れます。

本当はひつじやアルパカの毛糸で編みたかったのですが

目薬ポーチは小さいので、

コットン素材の方が編み上がりが

綺麗なような気がします。

一応、ひつじでも編んでみたのですが

さらに歪な形になってしまったのです・・・ほほ。

We could learn 「how to knit a eye drop pouch for beginners」

from knitting artist Mariko Mikuni at website"HoboNichi"

on November.

I am very looking forward to learn it,

because she will teach one by one for beginners like me.

Shigesato Itoi(who is the president of "HoboNichi"'

also knitted this eye drop pouch.

I love to look at man knitting something.

It looks lovely and also feel sorrow.

The lesson start on November but they already

show us a knitting pattern of the eye drops pouch

so I knitted it yesterday.

It looks terrible but I could knit only myself

that because I already learn some of pattern

at an acorn scarf.

This pattern is for beginners but if I didn't learn

how to knit an acorn scarf,

I think I couldn't knit this by myself.

Because for beginners,it is difficult to understand

"cast on","knit","purl"and "decreace".

I think people who are good at handicraft could

easily understand how to knit it but if

you are awkward person like me,

it is better to learn from your grandma or mom...

Then you could finish to knit it without give it up.

This eye drops pouch is very tiny

so you can also put jewelry,candy,key and also

a photo of beloved person or animals.

My friend suggested me to put my dog vince's photo

so I will put it.

First of all,I want to knit this eye drops pouch with

sheep or alpaca's yarn but I think it is better to knit

with cotton yarn because this pouch is very tiny

and it looks lovely then sheep or alpaca's yarn.

I also tried to knit with sheep yarn,but it  doesn't looks pretty...

I suggest beginners to use cotton yarn for this pattern.

オステルヨートランドの毛糸 Ostergotlands Yarns

札幌にある毛糸のお店、きぬがさマテリアルズで

オステルヨートランドのウール100％の毛糸を購入しました。

色は、白とグレーと茶色とマスタードイエロー。

オステルヨートランドの毛糸はスウェーデンで作られています。

きぬがさマテリアルズで、オステルヨートランドの毛糸について

詳しく教えて頂いて以来、毛糸に対するイメージが変わりました。

今までは色だけで選んでいたのですが

ひつじやアルパカの住む環境、作られる過程などによって

毛糸の品質が全然違う事を知りました。

例えば、毛には植物などが付いているのですが

日本で作られている毛糸は、ほとんどが化学的な処理が施されていて

何も混入されていない綺麗な状態で販売されています。

オステルヨートランドの毛糸はそういった化学的な処理がされていないので

編んでいると時々、毛糸の中に植物を見つけることがあります。

それを嫌だなと思う方もいらっしゃると思いますが

私はその植物がひつじの毛に付いていたと思うと幸せな気持ちになります。

それに化学的な処理が施されていないので肌に優しいのも嬉しいです。

I bought Ostergotlands's 100% wool yarns at local yarn shop

"Kinugasa Materials" recently.

The colors are white,grey,brown and mustard yellow.

Ostergotlands's yarns made in Sweden.

My yarn images changed since I heard the story about yarns

from the owner of the shop "Kinugasa Materials".

I choose the yarn by the color before visited the shop

but I knew the yarn's quality is different by

the environment of sheeps and alpacas and

process of making yarns and so on...

For example,some plants are include in wools

but most of yarns made in Japan treated by chemicals

so most of yarns are sold in beautiful and clean conditions.

Ostergotlands's yarns are not treated by chemicals

so I sometimes find some plants while knitting

with using the yarn.

I think some people prefers the beautiful and clean yarns

but I think different way such as

to think the plant sticked at sheep is lovely things

and it makes me even happier.

And also the yarn is good for skin

that because it isn't treated by chemicals.
